Mr.COLOR hobby paint is a paint that has long been highly regarded by modelers around the world as a model paint with excellent surface effects. There is a huge selection of colors and color types to choose from, suitable for painting almost any model. Generally speaking, Mr. Color offers a wider range of paint colors and finishes than Aqueous Hobby Color and dries to a smoother and harder surface. Mr Thinner is needed to thin Mr. Color paints, both to thin the paint if needed and to clean paint brushes and spray guns. Mr Thinner is available in 3 types (Standard Mr. Thinner, Mr. Rapid Thinner and Mr. Levelling Thinner) and four sizes - 50ml, 110ml, 250ml and 400ml. When applying Mr. Color paint, we recommend 1 to 2 coats when using a paint brush and 2 to 3 coats when using a spray gun. If Mr. Color paint is sprayed with an airbrush, it should be diluted to a ratio between 1 (Mr. Color) and 1 to 2 (Mr. Thinner), depending on the degree of paint viscosity required. The gloss level achieved with gloss coatings Mr. Color Hobby Paints can be adjusted through the use of Flat Base - mix in approximately 5% to 10% of C-30 Flat Base to convert a gloss color to a semi-gloss finish, or 10% to 20% for a matte finish. The percentage of Flat Base used can be adjusted to vary the gloss level achieved.
