006 Canadian VagiSense vaginal infection screening test kit 10 seconds rapid detection to identify yeast, candida or bacterial parasite infections
Vaginal infection and inflammation are very common for women of childbearing age, and are more common in pregnant women, overweight women, and women with diabetes, and often occur before menstruation. Vaginitis is more likely to occur if you have a weakened immune system (due to medications that reduce your immunity or a disease such as AIDS). Vaginal infections can be broadly divided into yeast/Candida infections, bacterial vaginosis (BV), and trichomoniasis (Trich). Although the symptoms may be similar, only by accurately identifying the type of infection can rapid treatment be provided.
Yeast/Candida infections are the most common infections. Candida is a type of yeast that naturally lives in a woman's vagina and can cause a candida infection when its population increases. Most Candida infections can be treated with over-the-counter antifungal medications such as Canesten®, CanesOral®, Monistat®, etc.
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) can affect women of any age but is most common in women of childbearing age. Bacterial infections occur when the "bad" bacteria outnumber the good bacteria and are the most common cause of bacterial discharge and odor. BV may require treatment by a doctor by prescribing antibiotic medications, or by using CanesBalance® or vaginal probiotics.
Trichomoniasis, also commonly known as "trichomoniasis," is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Although both men and women can be infected with Trichomonas, it is more common in women. Infections can occur in the vagina, urethra, cervix, bladder, and glands in the reproductive area. If the test result is positive for Trichomonas, you need to contact your doctor to prescribe antibiotics for treatment.
The Canadian VagiSense vaginal infection screening test kit is an OTC, easy-to-use vaginal secretion testing product that can present results within 10 seconds, assist in identifying the type of vaginal infection, and facilitate determination of treatment direction.
